Tuning protocol, post-COVID-19

  1. we ask that the piano needs to be clear of any books, pictures, or items that will prevent the technician from being able to fully open the piano. If at all possible, it would be nice if the keyboard was wiped down with a mild detergent (but see item 3 on our list…)
  2. when the technician arrives, once they are in the door, kindly stay a safe distance away while they remove their footwear, which they will leave at your door. The same applies for when they leave.
  3. the technician will arrive wearing a mask, with other relevant personal protective equipment on their person. They will wash their hands using soap and water for at least 20 seconds on arrival (after removing their footwear!), then put gloves on before attending to your piano.
  4. while the technician works on your piano, we ask that you maintain a safe distance by leaving them alone in the room. Once they are finished, they will call out to you so they can have a quick discussion about any minor issues they noticed. If there are issues that require further work or more in depth discussion and explanation, they will advise you of this, then call or e-mail at a later time to continue the conversation from a safe distance.
  5. the technician will dispose of their gloves and wash their hands for at least 20 seconds before leaving.
  6. payment can be made by credit card or e-transfer. You can otherwise send a cheque or cash to our mailing address at 1058 Yonge Street.
