STEINWAY & SONS 1886 Model “E” Upright
This historically significant piano, built in 1886, resided in the Arts and Letters club for almost a century before being restored by Jamie Musselwhite & Paul Hahn & Co. It features a new hand-made two-level exposed pinblock faced with flamed-maple French-polished veneer. The soundboard has been rebuilt, and all the bridges have been re-capped. The action has all new dampers and hammers, and the keytops have been recovered. One of the last Model E’s ever built, this piano plays, sounds, and looks as if it was new. Step back in time and experience 19th-century artisanship as reimagined by 21st century craftsmen!
