Baldwin’s Acrosonic has consistently remained one of the company’s most popular models since its introduction in 1936 and the simple lines of this case are guaranteed to fit any home décor.  For more than 100 years Baldwin has prided itself on its quality piano construction methods. With its hand-made spruce soundboard and ribs, and precision notched bridge made from hard rock maple, this tried-and-true construction method will ensure many years of exemplary tone. It also features Baldwin’s Full Blow Direct Action, giving it a superior touch to other pianos this size.

Baldwin Pianos was established in 1862 by DH Baldwin. During WWII, Baldwin ceased the production of pianos to build plywood parts for airplanes. Once the war was over, they resumed the production of pianos and used their knowledge of building plywood airplane parts to construct their now-famous 21 ply pinblocks. Another unique Baldwin feature is their Accu-Just hitchpins which allow technicians to change the pressure of the string across the bridge for optimal resonance.

Baldwin pianos are known for their big “American” sound, especially in the bass, and the clear “bell-like” quality of the treble.

Notable Baldwin artists include Aaron Copeland, Liberace, Miley Cyrus, and Dave Brubeck.
